The tower is the only place on earth that has remnants of humanity. Everyone is ranked out of ten based on their loyalty to the tower and the AI overseer, Scypio. Those ranked 3 get drug treatment that turn people into mindless drones, 2’s are isolated from everyone in case of “mental contamination” and 1’s disappear, never to be seen again.
Liana Castell is currently a 4 and is trying her absolute hardest to keep her rank up. She chases the one guy that she saw changed his rank from a 1 straight up to a 10 in seconds.
The Books in the Series
Review of Series
This series was really good. All of the books find a good medium between being fast paced and explaining things. The world was well constructed and made sense in many respects.
It connects back to the series that was written before, The Gender Games. Most books that make a series that splits off some side scene in another series usually end up being almost exactly like the first series. This series could definitely be read independently off the first and completely understood.
My only problem with this is that all of them take place take place over the course of only 2 years. So much happens that it is absolutely ridiculous.

The ending was so close to being the absolute best but it wanted its main character to live. The final chapter explains that almost the entire last book was all a simulation. It would have been so good if it didn’t make it seem like the simulation happened for the most part.
At the very end, there was the epic battle between the protagonist and the main villain. the big moment when the hero loses is a good spot that could have let her die. Either at the point inside the council room when the head medic has a gun to her head and his plan has been enacted, but this spot would probably not been the best spot.
The ending I think would have been the absolute best would have been at the end. They are at the only spot that could create a new Cypio, Gray has just been shot, killing him and the AI in his head called Leo. The main villains kids have been killed and it is only him and Liana. that is the spot that he kills her. could be a really big fight but the hero needs to lose.
Then the tower would fail, everyone inside would die. It would be a true dystopian world that is more realistic than anything other.
